Building Awareness: Engaging Canadian Millennials about Sun Protection Solutions

This paper summarizes highlights from a panel titled Millennials and the Need for Sun Protection Solutions in Ottawa in April 2017. The panel brought together experts in the eye and skin health fields to discuss and explore the health needs of today’s Millennials and their understanding of and attitudes toward protecting themselves from the sun. The panel featured perspectives of eyecare professionals from the Transitions Change Agent program as well as representatives from the Canadian Association of Optometrists, Canadian Dermatology Association, Canadian Ophthalmological Society and Opticians Association of Canada.
