After 2 weeks of using the Nike Max Transitions (both while cycling and running) I am highly recommending these to all my friends and teammates. They outperform every other photochromic lens I've tried. I especially enjoy wearing these during early morning workouts. As the sun comes up, the lenses adapt and keep my eyes relaxed and focused. They also work great for trail runs, when you run in and out of shaded areas. These get a 5 star rating from me. Very happy triathlete! ~K2

    Nike Max Transitions Golf Tint

    from golfmagic.com,
While I’ve never had a problem playing in sunglasses from tee to green before, my one concern has always been reading the greens properly and depth perception on longer putts. The Nike Max Transitions Golf Tint glasses have been adapted to highlight the whiteness of the ball and contours of the green. (And 29 putts for the round and three out of five scrambles had more than twisted my arm!) Working in collaboration with lens developers Transitions Optical (TO), the Nike Max shades have been specifically designed with a violet tint to optimise performance in changing light conditions - the glasses shift from a 50% visual light transmission to a 26% VLT based on available light. Most sunglasses lenses are simply cut from the geometric centre of a lens blank, yet Nike Max optics lenses are based on frame design and lens shape – ensuring the best optical zone of each lens blank. Nike is then able to position the lens to be cut out where the line of sight aligns with the optical sweet spot on the lens blank. The Nike Max Transitions Golf Tint, as worn by Nike staff player Paul Casey, also enhance critical details of the fairway - muting visual information you don’t need - as well amplifying the ball to help you track your shot. As an aside, they’re also extremely comfortable and look great. Verdict Just like your golf clubs, sports eyewear is a critical piece of equipment for your game, helping improve visual performance. The Nike Max Transitions sunglasses automatically adapt to changing light, darkening and lightening depending on the brightness of outdoor light, meaning your eyes don’t need to work as hard. The combination of Transitions’ advanced photochromic technology and Nike Max Optics’ engineered lens tints allow any golfer to see and play their best no matter what the lighting conditions are. More from the Golfmagic testers… Alex: Every now and then, a press release falls into the Golfmagic inbox which leaves us needing a bit of convincing. And that is exactly how we felt when Nike contacted us to tell us about its latest game-changing sunglasses. They certainly do all the things they tell us they’ll do, but gadgets like this don’t do it for me so I’ll be spending time working on my physical game to improve my scores.
